Community Meeting Vote

Responsible Growth. Responsible Spending.

District 3 deserves leadership that protects our communities, respects taxpayers, and plans responsibly for the future. My commitment is to support policies that strengthen Henry County without placing unnecessary burdens on residents or sacrificing the character of our neighborhoods.

 Data Centers

I oppose data centers in District 3.

These large-scale industrial facilities can consume significant amounts of electricity and water while creating relatively few permanent jobs. They may also bring noise, heavy infrastructure demands, environmental concerns, and industrial development near established neighborhoods and rural communities. Economic development should improve residents’ quality of life, not compromise it.

Local Tax Relief

Henry County families, seniors, homeowners, and small businesses are feeling the pressure of rising costs. Tax relief must be responsible, sustainable, and designed to provide meaningful help without jeopardizing essential services.

I will advocate for:

  • Fair and transparent property assessments.

  • A careful review of available homestead exemptions.

  • Responsible use of alternative revenue sources to reduce pressure on property owners.

  • Clear explanations of how tax dollars are collected and spent.

  • Protection of essential services, including public safety, roads, parks, and emergency response.

Residents deserve a realistic plan that provides relief while protecting the services our community depends on.

Responsible Spending

Every tax dollar should be managed with care, accountability, and transparency. Responsible spending means establishing clear priorities, reviewing outcomes, and ensuring county resources benefit the entire community.

As commissioner, I will support:

  • Open and understandable county budgets.

  • Regular reviews of contracts, programs, and expenditures.

  • Competitive and transparent purchasing practices.

  • Long-term planning for infrastructure, staffing, and public safety.

  • Investment based on documented community needs.

  • Equal attention to the needs of all 11 precincts in District 3.

Fiscal responsibility is not simply about cutting expenses. It is about eliminating waste, planning ahead, protecting essential services, and investing wisely.

Responsible Growth

Growth is happening in Henry County. I support development that is properly planned, appropriately located, and beneficial to the community. I will advocate for:

  • Infrastructure planning before major development is approved.

  • Development that respects the character of established neighborhoods and rural communities.

  • Protection against excessive high-density development in inappropriate areas.

  • Greater developer responsibility for the infrastructure demands created by new projects.

  • Transparent zoning and land-use decisions.

  • Traffic-impact studies that reflect real community conditions.

  • Improved coordination among county departments, municipalities, schools, and public safety agencies.

  • Meaningful resident participation before decisions are finalized.

Responsible growth means saying yes to opportunities that strengthen our community and no to development that creates long-term costs for taxpayers.

Leadership That Listens

District 3 needs a commissioner who will remain accessible, communicate openly, and represent every precinct, not just the most vocal or politically connected areas. My commitment is to provide leadership that listens, asks difficult questions, and makes decisions based on what is best for residents today and for future generations.

Together, we can protect District 3, strengthen Henry County, and deliver responsible relief through responsible growth and responsible spending.
